Cadenza on David Mellor’s New Releases Show
Cadenza was featured in David Mellor’s “New Releases Show” on Classic FM yesterday evening (Saturday 15th December), when they broadcast Bright Star, the title track of our new CD. If you missed it, you can listen again until Saturday 22nd December. Just choose the programme from the drop down list and scroll in approximately 20 minutes.
David described the CD as a splendid new release by a fine Scottish choir, Bright Star (the carol) as really rather good, and said that you don’t have to live north of the Border or be a patriotic Scot to get a lot of pleasure from the CD. He also pointed out that Christmas music is attracting modern composers who are producing stuff that is a joy to listen to rather than an endurance test. (How true, and Bright Star – Cadenza at Christmas, with every track composed or arranged within the last 60-70 years, is a perfect example!) All in all he said he would recommend the CD very much.
