Cadenza concert raises £1k for Children 1ST

Cadenza is delighted that the first of our Spring 2014 Charity concerts has raised at least £1,000 for Scotland’s foremost children’s charity.

The principal organiser at Children 1ST was thrilled with the result, saying “Cadenza sang from their hearts – the music was so moving I didn’t want to break the spell by clapping afterward”.

She added that “this wonderfully successful event […] was made possible because the choir – and the readings – touched the audience, the tickets sold by the choir, and Cadenza also donating money from CD sales. […] Please know that every penny raised will make a difference to children and families in real need at a time when there are less and less places for them to turn for help – we know this first hand because of the calls we take at ParentLine.”

Cadenza always donates a percentage of CD sales at charity concerts, and never takes a fee for performing, so that the charities raise as much money as possible to continue their invaluable work. We very much hope that our next two concerts, for Music in Hospitals Scotland, The Engine Shed and Waverley Care will be equally successful. Please help us to achieve this by joining our audience on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May.

See our concerts page for more details.
