Even more money raised for charity!

A long overdue return to perform in St John’s Church, Princes Street, Edinburgh – a beautiful church, always worth a visit – proved to be another great success, raising over £1550 for Edinburgh Cyrenians.

“Your concert was superb. Enjoyed every minute and every WORD. Acoustics were superb.”
“Great concert last night! The best singing I’ve ever heard from Cadenza. We all enjoyed it thoroughly. Really good repertoire too.”
“The concert was superb. Such a lovely and varied programme with some inspired interpretations.”

The concert on Saturday 6th May was, sadly, Cadenza’s last opportunity this year to perform the same varied programme as in Linlithgow the previous week. It was clearly enjoyed as much by the Edinburgh audience, who not only contributed handsomely to the sum raised through ticket sales, but also by buying Cadenza CDs at the end of the concert, a percentage of which was, as always at these concerts, donated to the charity. Some audience members even asked if the evening’s programme was available in its entirety on CD. Not yet, but we’re thinking about it!

Our next concert will be our annual Edinburgh Fringe concert in Greyfriars Church on Saturday 26th August, when Richard Beauchamp (piano) will join us again, together with John Cameron for Brahms’ Deutsches Requiem. Tickets will be available from choir members from Wed 10th May. More information on our Concerts page in the Fringe Programme (from 7th June) and on the Fringe website.
