CD launch raises over £1000 for Waverley Care
Cadenza is very grateful to the almost capacity audience at the CD launch on 16th November, whose warmth and generosity resulted in donations of over £1000 to Scottish charity Waverley Care.
We would also like to thank our very special guest, Richard Holloway, who gave his time as MC for the evening, sharing with us his favourite Christmas readings, from poems by Betjeman, Hardy, Edwin Morgan to a duologue by C Day Lewis and the wonderful Lorimer translation from the Gospel of St Luke. The combination of words and music clearly delighted the audience, who gave us many compliments afterwards, bought a lot of CDs – and donated very generously to Waverley Care.
